Hi my name is Randy and I am an amatuer filmmaker. The purpose of this site is to display my work for the public to see. I realize my videos at this point don't exactly qualify as over top or great films. But my hope is that somebody finds these films entertaining for what they are. I just keep honing my craft so I can get better and better. Hopefully someday I can make more impressive films and move on to projects with and actual budget.
One of the projects I have been working on is a series of short films called "The Gnome Hunter Series". “Day 5” “Joe’s Nightmare” and “The Gnome Hunter” I started filming "Joe's Nightmare" in late 2007 and wrapped it up in early 2008. I got the idea for "Day 5" in the middle of filming "Joe's Nightmare". I managed to film that in two days. One of my easier shoots. I then began filming "The Gnome Hunter" in the early part of the Summer of 2008. In the middle of production I ran into a snag. The grass turned brown unseasonably early. And this happened right when I was halfway through a scene. I had stopped filming halfway through an action sequence, then went up two weeks later only to realize that the landscape had dried up quite a bit. Try as I may I could not make things match what I had filmed 2 weeks prior. So I decided to wait til the following year to resume filming after things greened back up. I was worried about doing this. I thought maybe I would not be able to line things up and that part of th film would be off a bit. Turns out that the wait was worth it. Cause in the film there are shots filmed a whole year apart, edited right next to each other, and you can't tell at all. All three of these films were shot with a standard over the counter Sony Hard Drive camera. So they are not high budget type films by any means. However my attempt here was to create something that was entertaining despite their cheesy nature. Go to the The Gnome Hunter Series Films link to see these films. Be sure and keep watching after the credits because there is more on each of these films. If you like these films check out the posters and wallpapers for the films in The Gnome Hunter Pics Link.
I do have hopes of making a Star Wars Fan FIlm. I have a script done, but I haven't begun filming yet. But I do have some initial fx test up on my FX Tests page. Don't have much of that right now, but I will be doing more.
Another one of my video hobbies is to create what I call Fan Made Music Videos where I take clips from my favorite TV shows or movies, and turn them into musical montages. These are meant for entertainment only, and are not meant to infringe on copyrights. I think these are alot of fun to make and fun to watch. Check these out in the Fan Made Music Videos link.
And you can check out some of my home video turned into music videos to get a peek at my life outside of these films.
